The Best Recipe For Homemade Protein Bars

March 17, 2022

When it comes to healthy eating, one of the most important aspects is making sure you get an adequate amount of nutrients and minerals such as carbohydrates, healthy fats, vitamins, fiber, and protein. Surprisingly, many people manage everything just fine except for their protein target for the day. They are generally unable to hit the target because of the fact that people tend to grow tired of the limited sources of protein which, basically, only include meat, dairy, and eggs.

So, what are you waiting for, it’s time to stock up on these ingredients and get to work.

  • 6 oz of chocolate
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2/3 cup of oat flour
  • 210 grams of Chocolate flavored protein powder
  • Half a teaspoon of Stevia Extract (Vanilla)
  • natural butter flavor (1 spoonful)
  • Half a cup of almond milk (vanilla)
  • Half a cup of almond butter
  • A couple of beets

Instructions:

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees, scrub the two beets, wrap them in foil, and place them in the oven to bake for an-hour-and-a-half (or until they are soft). Then, take them out and allow them to cool. Once cooled, simply chop them up and blend them until they turn into a smooth puree before adding the rest of the ingredients (except for the chocolate) into a pan and placing said pan in the freezer.

Once the mixture is solidified, cut the bars in the desired shape while simulataneously melting the chocolate on the stove. Once you are done, dip the protein bars into the melted chocolate and freeze them once again.

And that’s it! The next time you open your freezer door, you’ll have red velvet fudge protein bars that come packed with 22 grams of protein. Mmmmm, Yummy!
